We see Bloom County here in St. Louis in a weekly freebie entertainment paper. It has the daily strips only, collected on a single page each week. Since the appearance of Bill the Cat at the convention door, and then no sign of him for a week or two, and now a scene of him perched on a rock, there has been no explanation or info of his status. Is he dead or alive? If alive, why does he look so dead? Is he some sort of zombie? What's going on?

Bill the Cat IS dead, I am araid, The version of him that you see in the strip is a clone, brought up by Oliver Wendall Jones, in the Sunday paper.
