I would like to ask a question that has been nagging me for the past
several months. I keep hearing conflicting reports and I want to get
things straight. Can anyone please tell me: is the LN01 EXACTLY the
same as a Xerox 2700? Now I know that they are both based on the XP-12
engine. I want to know if the only difference between them is the
nameplate on the front door. Specifically, are the font files and the
"extended printer commands" identical between the two printers? DEC
has a history of just reselling other companies' products (such as the
Printronix printers). Have they done the same with the 2700?
