Here are the results of my informal survey on the operation costs of the
Imagen LBP-10 and 8/300 printers:

None of the costs include amortization.
% List = estimated percentage of pages printed that were listings
Notes:
A. site uses maintenance from Imagen
a. site doesn't use maintenance from Imagen
B. site uses Impaks for supplies
b. site doesn't use Impaks
C. university environment
D. professional environment
E. uses a separate lineprinter for very large jobs.
F. uses the printers for all print jobs.
Many of the sites reported they left their printers on all the time
(increasing the total amount of premix used).
Note the wide range in cost/page. Would anyone care to speculate?
