From: gvax.scharf@Cornell.ARPA (Gerald Scharf) I was wondering whether anyone has coverted cifplot to work on a 300 dpi laser printer (QMS preferably, or Imagen.) I am hoping for a version that allows the laser printer to do the layer stippling, as it would reduce both the VAX cpu load and the communications time. thanks in advance. Jerry Scharf

From: salkind@nyu-cmcl2 (Lou Salkind) We converted cifplot to work with an Imagen Imprint 10 printer. The Impress language nicely supports the primitives required for stipling, etc., needed by cifplot. Unfortunately there were bugs in the Imagen firmware (v1.8), and so plots of any complexity came out wrong. These problems were reported to Imagen some time back, but I am not sure whether they were ever fixed.
