[fa.laser-lovers] laser printers on e-net TCP/IP

Is anyone using a laser printer on an ethernet? Whose? What networking
hardware do you use? What host software needs to be written?

Is anyone sharing a LP via an ethernet with non-unix hosts?

Thanks for the info,

We have an Imagen Imprint-10 and an Imagen 8/300 on the ethernet
here and both have served us quite well. The throughput is quite
noticeably superior to the old 9600 baud line and we are quite happy with
it. Imagen has been suffering from a shortage of ethernet cards, though,
so don't expect immediate delivery. We spool to it from a DECsystem20 and
several vaxen.

Our group just got an Imagen 8/300 with an ethernet interface. I was
very impressed that we were immediatly able to talk to it from four
different systems (a 4.2BSD Vax, a Tops-20 KL, a Waits KL and a 4.2
Sun) with regular IP/TCP software available on those machines.
Through gateways, yet. Now if only we had some good software that
knew about impress...
