It would be very nice to have the capacity to download fonts such that Scribe and/or TeX could be used on this printer, but I have not found a way to do it. Is there already font downloading software, for these fonts, written for the LN-01 (preferably under Unix, but any source would help)? I have heard that the LN-01 is not CAPABLE of printing in these fonts. Is this true? I just today read an announcement for the LN-03. One immediate difference I noted was that DEC was releasing the information necessary to write font downloaders, which they did not do (?) for the LN-01. Will the LN-03 handle fonts of greater complexity (assuming that this was the LN-01 limitation)? Thanks for anyone who can help.
