Our copy of the manual has an Appendix B.  We have had our machine for
over a year and also have a newer version of the manual, it doesn't
have as much information as our older version.  And yes, it does tell
how to encode binary data into sixels.  Unfortunately it doesn't also
tell the format of the font record.  (i.e. We know what to wrap around
a font record, what format to put the data into for the machine to read
it, but don't know the format for the data).

I doubt you will ever get documentation on how to download fonts into
the machine.  Xerox doesn't want that information to be distributed
around for some reason, they see it as propietary.  They still have the
same attitude with their own printers.  One question I asked specifically
of Xerox about the 2700 II was if they would give us that information.
Suffice to say that we aren't buying one of their printers and that we
are getting rid of our LN01.

The encoding is a straight forward mapping of 3 bytes into 4 bytes,
6 bits at a time, and 0x3f added to each byte to make it printable.
