What devices do they support? I realize that the phrase "typesetting program" is rather ill defined. What I mean is a program which could say, drive a LaserJet with prop. spacing, multiple fonts, and as many other abilities of troff, TeX, Scribe, etc. as possible. One is available from Addison-Wesley. The other is available from CWare. The Addison-Wesley port was done by David Fuchs, part of the Stanford TeX group, and is a semi-automatic translation into C. The CWare version is by Lance Carnes, who is the "small TeX" site coordinator for the TeX Users' Group. Both are in the slightly under $500 cost range. Anyone know of other packages? I imagine that troff is also available for many of the various micro-Unix implementations. --Rick ]]
