From: William LeFebvre <phil@rice.ARPA> Remember my problem with the capital W in amssmc40? Well, after several phone calls to California and the arrival of a second printer, we have determined that it is definitely a hardware problem. This may sound a little strange at first (why should the hardware care that it is a capital W?), but further investigation showed that the same problem existed for any character glyph above a certain size (that size being on the order of 36 to 40 point). But my test file works fine on our other printer and it works fine on the old printer after a board swap. Imagen is shipping us another board. The folks at Imagen were just super about the whole thing. This poor guy in hardware support stayed on the phone with me for about 20 minutes while I swapped boards and ran tests. I am continually amazed at the amount of customer support and help that Imagen puts out. This company really cares about its customers!
