From: ihnp4!ihlpa!agk@UW-BEAVER.arpa I am looking to print troff(1) output on a the Xerox 2700 laser printer. The two software packages I have found are Textware's Tplus and VLS's DX-2700. Textware wants $2500 for a 780 binary that runs with ditroff; VLS wants $3500 for a similar binary. What experience do people have with these products and companies? Are there other packages for the 2700 that I should be looking at? Please mail(1) to me - if you can - and I will summarize to laser- lovers. For reference: Textware International, Cambridge, MA, (617)UNI-TEXT VLS, Inc, Fremont, CA, (415)490-3555 Note: this should not be read as an endorsement of either company, either by myself or my employer. From: ihnp4!gargoyle!sphinx!sas1@uw-beaver.arpa (Stuart Schmukler) You may want to consider retrofitting a QMS controler on the thing and give your machine some brains. The software for this setup (from Talrus) is not cheap, but you can get full page graphics. SaS
