I just subscribed to this newsgroup after hearing about a discussion here concerning making transparencies with laser printers. We have 3 Imagen 8/300's and users that like to use transparencies. We obviously are interested in the prospect of using the laser printer to do to this (we currently use a HP plotter). I don't want to make everyone read old news, so if someone could mail me information about the type of transparencies, what to watch out for, etc., I'd really appreciate it. Also, we have a need to print Tektronix images on the Imagen. We have had only one problem so far. That is, we would like to be able to have the image area be (nearly) the whole page. However, the Imagen will not print closer than about 1.25 inches to the left edge of the paper (with the paper held the wide way) and .75 inches to the bottom. We can print points very close to the edge of the paper at the right and top. Is there something that we can adjust to change the image area ? or am I complaining about something I can't do anything about ?? Finally, I've seen some very nice examples of graphics using the imPRESS language. I've spent only a small amount of time so far playing with this, but I plan to spend more time on this soon. Can anyone give me information about using imPRESS ? Thanks in advance, Nate My mail address is nhh@duke.
