[fa.laser-lovers] Terminology for 2700's and 8044's, etc.

Actually, the word "Raven" is the Xerox engineering code name for the XP-12
marking engine, and not for any of the printer products made out of it.
Almost every project in every company gets a code name while it is
being developed and then a marketing name when it is ready to be sold.
Sometimes those code names see the light of day (IBM Winchester, Xerox
Star, Apple Macintosh) and sometimes they don't.

I believe that there are more printers made out of Ravens than any
other marking engine. The Xerox 2700, Xerox 8044, DEC LN01, and QMS 1200
(plus variations like LN01S and 1200A) are all Raven-based printers.
The Canon LBP-CX is closing in fast, however.
