The context in which the description occurs is that of making small adjustments to existing fonts, which is perhaps misleading. In any case, I exchanged mail with a Xerox support group about this. They did say that building font vectors would work, but strongly suggested that I avoid doing so. Can we take it that your message implies that Xerox intends to support font-building? :-) I'm sorry about the 2700 mixup: I don't know what to call our Xerox printers (they call themselves "Ravens"), but they run Interpress and use the same marking engine as the 2700.
