From: ned%UPenn-Grasp%upenn.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa I have been playing with the idea of incorporating the Penn insignia into our cover sheets as well, and after considering all of the possibilities, I decided that the simplest way to go was to use Metafont to get a raster version of the thing, or at least parts of it. The main element of the Penn insignia is a shield with some stripes and circles, all of which are easy to produce geometrically with PostScript, but it also contains a fish and two books, which are not. My final plan is to produce the fish and the books with Metafont, and use them as raw rasters in a geometrically described shield. Of course, since I have neither Metafont nor a PostScript printer on my Vax at the moment, this is a completely untried solution. Ned Batchelder ned@UPenn.CSnet
