Does anybody know a source that is shipping from stock toner cartridges
for the Apple LaserWriters. Our local Apple distributor can't get
them. In fact they won't ship us the three LaserWriters we ordered
(which thay have in stock) until they get one cartridge for each of
them. I've been waiting a month now. If the distributor can't get
three cartridges to close an $16,000 (the cost of the three
LaserWriters) I don't think he'll be able to get 20.
According to this same distributor the Apple cartridges are not the
same as the HP cartridges. Since our site has a number of HP
LaserJets, a couple of Imagen 8/300 and soon three LaserWriters I'd
like to know whether cartridges are the same for all of them. Or, do we
have to buy from three seperate sources.

[[Editor's note---The notion that the Apple cartridges differ from the
HP cartridges or the Imagen 8/300 is contrary to what I've heard
elsewhere. If anyone has any detailed explanation as to why this
might be the case, please post

From: Brian Reid <reid@Glacier> The HP Toner Cartridge, 92285A EP-Cartridge, Code R34-0002-004, is completely identical to the Apple LaserWriter cartridge and works perfectly in Apple LaserWriters. Here in Palo Alto it is also $5 cheaper.
