From: apollo!mandler@uw-beaver This message is in response to Larry Bierma's request for info on PostScript printers. Like any standard, PostScript will take some time to truely achieve that status. At Apollo, we recently announced support of PostScript as our standard interface to hardcopy devices we support,service and sell. Currently this includes a 26 page per minute laser printer with page sizes up to 11x17", and software PostScript drivers running on our complete line of nodes, driving a Genicom dot-matrix printer and the Versatec V80 and V82 series of plotters. In addition, we will be offering a GMR (Graphics Metafile Resources) to Postscript translator in the near future. This translator will allow application developers who design their product using GMR to obtain a device independent hardcopy file by issuing a few simple system calls. John Mandler
