Does anybody have anything good or bad to say about the Imagen 12/300? Is it completely compatible with the 8/300? (That is, is the output between the 8 and the 12 "identical", say, using ditroff?) What about the printer environmentally? Does it smell? Presumably it uses dry toner in a bottle as opposed to a replaceable cartridge - does this have maintainability implications (like do you have to change the drum every X hours of operation). Are the fonts identical between the two machines, or have they tried to tune them for the specific engine?
