From: Jeff Smith <aat@purdue-asc.arpa> Is anyone aware of any public domain (free) drivers (ditroff back-end filters such as dlgp for the Sybolics Laser Graphics printer) for the HP laserjet+ and/or the Dec LN03? We are thinking about buying one of these machines, and a free driver would be a big consideration since we have a heavy committment to the documentor's workbench & ditroff. If there aren't any currently available, is anyone out there working on one for either machine? I've been reading laser lovers since about last January or so and I've seen no mention so far... Failing that, are there any commercial ones available? What experiences have people had with them? The only ones I know of are Image Network's qroff (etc.) for the LN03 and Textware's Tplus & Elan's driver for the HP laserjet (it isn't clear to me if Textware and Elan have drivers for the laserjetplus or just the laserjet). From: sasaki@harvard.arpa (Marty Sasaki) We have an LN03 and have Image Network's package running on VMS. We have only put through a couple hundred pages, but the combination seems to work very well. Since they had to kludge their software to make it work on VMS, I suspect that the UNIX version should work well. Marty Sasaki (sasaki@harvard.edu)
