From: boyle@anl-mcs (James M. Boyle) My impression is that I can buy and Apple Laserwriter and connect it to an RS232 port on my 780 running Berkeley 4.2 Unix and happily begin printing troff/ditroff output. Is that correct? Does one need to order any special options? I believe I have seen mention of ditroff-->Postscript drivers, converters or whatever mentioned, but I don't recall the sources. Thanks much. From: sob%talcott@harvard.harvard.edu (Scott O Bradner) the apple laserwriter does not understand ditroff etc. you must have postscript as the input. we have just put up the transcript package that adobe sells & it all works just great. this package does interface to the 4.2 lpr system and can take troff or titroff output and produce postscript for the printer. the only problem i have found is it does not like to print header pages. scott bradner harvard university
