((bug-a-roo)) I just found out why Crazy Glue, and all superglues, work randomly well on inanimate objects but ALWAYS stick to skin! This form of glue hardens in the presence of WATER. If you have a nice, clean DRY plate that you are going to glue, wash it first and dry it off (with a paper towel). This will give the glue the proper amount of moisture to bond. This also explains why people in dry areas, especially in sub-zero and air conditioned areas find that this type of glue fails on almost all accounts. If it doesn't stick once, and you put a large blop of glue on the area, you end up shielding the area from the moisture in the air that makes it harden. So far, I have not seen this information on any superglue packages. I guess we are supposed to find out experimentally. There is a very good reason why super glues stick to skin. They were originally developed for use by surgeons to replace sutures. Mark Biggar {allegra,burdvax,cbosgd,hplabs,ihnp4,akgua,sdcsvax}!sdcrdcf!markb
