From: <gropp@yale-venus> We have 2 8/300's and we suffer a "creep" problem: after a while, printing begins a little above the top of the actual paper. The creep slowly gets worse, to the point that over 1cm of the text doesn't get printed on the paper. The only known remedy here is to reboot the image processor in the 8/300. 1) Does anyone else have this problem? 2) Is there any cure? Bill Gropp ------- ------

From: Donald Blais <CC.BLAIS@R20.UTEXAS.EDU> The "creep" problem occurs on the Imagen 8/300 at R20.UTexas.Edu as well. After clearing one or two paper jams, text gets printed closer to the top edge of each sheet of paper. After one or two more paper jams only horizontal slivers of each line get printed. We're blaming the jams on the fact that a cardboard box is being substituted for the plastic output tray which broke. Our remedy until the tray is replaced has been to kill the device spooler, reboot the 8/300, and start a new spooler. -- Donald Blais -------
