More anecdotal evidence: my mother tells me that I was a real kicker in the womb, but then a quiet baby and a reasonably sedate toddler. My little sister, on the other hand, was very inactive in the womb, but was a squirmy infant and a rambunctious toddler. (My parents used to have to attach her blankets to the bed at night with safety pins; otherwise she would kick them all off every half hour and wake up cold.) --- Prentiss Riddle --- ("Aprendiz de todo, maestro de nada.") --- {ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!riddle

My wife and I have a daughter who is almost two years old now. Since she is the only child we have, I have nothing to use for comparison, save our experience with her. She seemed to be EXTREMELY active from the 7th month thru delivery. She was also an almost ideal baby. She slept a minimum of 6 straight hours per night from the day she was brought home from the hospital. She has been a delightful child to have around. Of course, I am not in the least bit biased or prejudiced concerning her. She's just perfect! (Not a scientific study, I realize, but.......) Harold Noyes !hplabs!hp-pcd!harold
