Try Popular Mechanics. They have lots of plans for the do-it-yourselfer.
I am pretty sure that I have seen something they did on a jungle gym but
I didn't want to look back through my 5 years worth of subscriptions.

I can't locate the particular issue at the moment, but Popular Science had an article with plans and photos of two playscapes. I believe that the issue was within the last year. One or both had a slide, elevated play area, a swing, etc. Keith Pyle . . .!ihnp4!ut-ngp!pyle
