<> My daughter turns 5 months old today and has been frustratingly inquisitive for the last month or so. That's my interpretation. The symptoms are that she fusses/screams constantly when she's not being presented with something new. She will quietly enjoy shopping (being pushed around in a stroller in a mall) and will thoroughly examine any new object within her reach (usually by immediately shoving it into her mouth) but she, like most babies, is a quick study and is finished with an item in about 5 minutes. I find it difficult to discover new (and safe) things to present to her at that rate, so (my interpretation again) she gets bored and we get weary. I'm assuming that my daughter isn't particularly unusual, so I thought I'd ask what others had done to stimulate and amuse their children when they weren't yet old enough to crawl, talk, or read. Any suggestions? I'm afraid to just let her cry too much for fear of dampening her enthusiasm for discovery, but... Pete LaMaster NJ (201)949-5009 ihnp4!hou2f!pvlm
