I was speaking to my brother today when he related this successful
method to me. He and his wife have been trying all sorts of things
to get their daughter potty trained, but with little success so
far. My niece is 2 1/2 years old.
What they did (I laugh inside everytime I imagine it) was this:
whenever Bruce (my brother) went to the john, his wife would reward
him with a balloon after he finished. My brother would also give
Kristen (my sister-in-law) a balloon for her trips to the bathroom.
Naturally, my niece noticed this and of course wanted to get in on
the balloon action! It's been easy street ever since.
