eat my line !!!! I am going to get married again in Dec of this year. The lady in which I am marrying has a 3 year old boy who was sexually abused by his father. The father has 60 days in the summer time and two weeks at X-mas. The case has been in court in Oklahoma twice since the first of June. Once by each party for custody. After the mother got him back from the summer visitation he was little more that a basket case. The child is very confused and very upset. The child (Joe) has a lot of anxiety about going back to be with his father and wakes up have bad dreams about his father. Then he told us about what his father had done to him in great detail. The problem is what to do about it. She can not afford to take him back to court in Oklahoma, as she is currently unemployed and lives in Rhode Island. She can't take it to court in R.I. because she has not lived here long enough(six months). As it looks now she will have to let his father have him at X-mas. If she refuses, he will take her back to court and get custody. It seems to me that when custody is an issue, child abuse (sexual or otherwise) is not being taken seriously. This leaves the child without any protection. We have taken Joe to a child psychologist who had us call child welfare and protection. They advised us to take it back to court and took a report. End of action. At this point we are at a lost to know what to do. Any comment, suggestions and/or help from the net would be appreciated. In the olden days, you'd get on a horse, ride to Oklahoma, and shoot him. Too bad you can't do that today; it's what he deserves. {microsoft!ctvax}!trsvax!ron Ron Light
