I do not have direct experience with what breast feeding mothers give, since my childern were not breast fed. Any rice cereal I used, was given to one and two month old babies and ceased altogether when I was allowed to give strained fruits and vegetables. I would recommend these instead of giving her off your table, as she may choke and baby food is relatively inexpensive, or you can make your own with a blender or food processor. Any food you might eat could easily be chopped, blended, whatever into a consistency a baby could tolerate. All three of mine were on strained foods by six months, even though they still continued to take formula. My best advise is to follow what your doctor directs, after all you pay him to help you know what is right for your baby.
