I just wanted to relate a cute incident that happened this evening. I have 3 children, a girl and two boys, ages 5 1/2, 3, and 10 months. We live in a medium sized two bedroom apartment in UCLA student housing. Lately the older kids, who share a room, have been discussing what they will do when the baby grows out of his port-a-crib that is located either in our bedroom or living room (there is no way that we could put him in with the older kids due to the size of their room). Both have been arguing that they want Tzlil, the baby, to sleep in their bed. This has gone on for a couple of days, Shiri-li demanding that Tzlil will sleep with her and Zeev demanding that he will sleep with him. Tonight when we got home from our weekly workout at the pool (I take all three kids swimming while my wife is out teaching), they made an agreement. Shiri-li and Zeev decided to sleep in Shiri-li's bed so that Tzlil, when he grows up, can have Zeev's bed. I told them that that was unnecessary, however, when I went by their room I noticed them holding each others hands and fast asleep in Shiri-li's bed. kids are, well, kinda unpredictable... Translations of the children's names are available on request.
