[net.misc] corpses on the paper

I too, read L.A. Times in the morning and felt quite grossed out by the
dead sailor picture (full body shot) on the front page. The L.A. Herald
Examiner which is not considered one of the best papers in town only
had a partial shot (of the hand and midsection) which I thought was
much more in taste. I wish some papers would quit pursuing sensationalism
that low on their front page.

I, for one, was happy to see the full-color picture of the british
sailor's corpse. I thought it was fascinating, and would probably
not have had any other oportunity to see just how well preserved
it was.

There were several points that were not brought out in the story:

There were three graves, but only two well-preserved bodies.
Did one of the bodies decay more than the others? if so why?

Did the bodies undergo any sort of mummification, or were they
preserved just because they were frozen?
