The other day, I was in a fast food place buying lunch for a friend. AS I was wating for the food to be prepaired, I couldn't help but pick up on bits of a conversation behind me. THere was a lareg male, apparently bragging about how he had given this little girl a back handed hit on the face. I listened further, apperently, the child had her hand in his pocket so that he couldn't walk freely. The male seemed quite pleased with himself for doing it, he even demonstrated the motion several times. Finnaly, he stated that he didn't think they (children I assume) were human beings anyway. I have sad news for him, I don't consider him to be a human being. Break the cycle, don't hit your kid today. Emotional violence leaves scars that don't show for years. -- Jason P. I agree that the person you described is an animal. The idea of spanking your child for your own ego is horrid. But, do discipline your child (including spanking when necessary) and then show them love and understanding. You can spank without being a sadist. ============================================================================== Dane Meyer ARPA: ==> Meyer%waltz%TI-CSL@CSNET-Relay CSNET: ==> Meyer@TI-CSL USENET: ==> {convex!smu, ut-sally, texsun, rice}!waltz!meyer
