What do you think of picking babies' pimples? I know some people are all for it. Is it beneficial? harmless? dangerous? -- Col. G. L. Sicherman ...decvax!sunybcs!gloria!colonel

Sicherman] Picking any pimple, regardless if it belongs to a baby or adult, is dangerous because you can introduce infection into the open wound. I picked one on my chin once when I was in High School. That sucker developed an infection you wouldn't believe! I was sicker than a dog for about a week, and I had to have minor surgery to drain the infection. If the pimples on a baby are severe, I would suggest taking the child to a pediatrician... it could be eczema, and that can be treated. -- Frank Dibbell (408-746-6493) {whatever}!amdahl!canopus [R.A. 6h 22m 30s Dec. -52d 36m] [Generic disclaimer.....]
