From Consumer Reports, May 1985 Accordion-style baby gate. V-shaped top edges and aimond-shaped openings in gate may trap toddler's head, possibly causing strangulation. Products: About 10 to 15 million accordion-style gates made by Madison Mill Inc., Nashville; Mapes Ind. Inc., Great Neck, N.Y.; North States Ind., Minneapolis; NuLine Ind. Inc., Suring, Wis.; Parid Ind., S. Paris, Me.; and Worldbest Ind., Cudahy, Wis. What to do: Discard gate.
