The story Matt told reminded me of something I saw on a TV show. I think it was PM Magazine. Some women who had 3 children ages from 4 - 11. Even the 4 year old could read very advanced material. They showed her reading on the show and it really was fascinating. The woman said that while she was pregnant with each child she read aloud to them every day. The 11 year old was in a college calculus class and doing very well. I wonder if reading to them aloud really did help. Perhaps we do remember more than wwe think.
