What made you decide to have kids? Was it the "I'm 30 so I'd better get started" fear. Was there some identifiable maternal/paternal instinct that influenced you? This is an especially important question if you have no close friends with kids... Did it have anything to do with exposure to friends/relatives with kids? - My main reason for asking is this: I keep hearing phrases like "You have to REALLY WANT to have a child" etc. And I'm basically wondering what that means (to other people).
