[net.kids] Kids & Modeling - Caution: Scams

merrill@raja.DEC (Rick Merrill, Fonts Manager, Hardcopy Engineering, 3-3751) (05/14/85)

There are several companies who make a living off of parents who think their
kids are cute enough to model. They are "legitimate" but their Success Rate
in actually placing a child with an agency is small: ASK THEM TO PUT THEIR
PLACEMENT RATE IN WRITING! If they refuse, Drop Them. If they comply then
you will know how good/bad an investment you may be making with your money.

Note: how many ads with babies have you seen in the last year? (me: 3) Were
they all cute or were some "soso?" (me 2:1) Note: some babies are probably
selected for the "appearance" of their bottom!

Note: real models are rarely selected for overally appearance but rather for
their skin, hands, legs, hair, etc. In other words there are "hand models"
whose face is not as important as their hands!
