[net.kids] nightmare spray

About a week ago, my six-year-old, normally a very good sleeper, came out
of her room crying at about 9:30 at night. It seems she had seen something
spooky on television during the day. Well, after I had cuddled her in my
arms and heard the whole story, ending with "And I know it's not real, but
I'm still scared," and she was still crying and begging me to sleep with her,
I took action.

I don't generally use room freshener aerosols, but I had one in my linnen
closet. I told my daughter I thought the room needed to be sprayed for
nightmares, and it worked. I made a good show of it that night; I sprayed
under the bed, behind the door and inside the closet. Since then a quick
spritz at bed time seems to do the trick.

I just thought I'd pass this along. Maybe it will work with your child too,
the next time a nightmare strikes.
