Re: a drug that helps with colic Ask you doctor what is in it first. According to Jackie's doctor, the only widely used drug for colic is an opiate that is designed to sedate the baby. His opinion (and mine) is that this medicine, though given to the baby, is actually for the parents. If that is what you want, go to YOUR doctor and get Valium. I don't actually believe anyone would give a new baby opium if they new it, so I wanted to warn you, ask the doctor what is in it. By the way, the key ingredient in over-the-counter and folk lore type colic remedies is alcohol. A warning about valium may also be in order, it is transmitted in mothers milk.
