I'd think more than twice about giving a baby corn syrup.

Not being knowledgeable, I don't want to scare anyone, but have
been told that giving honey to infants may cause intestinal botulism:
apparently babies are sterile and hermetic enough in the gi tract that given
(unmetabolized I guess) nutrient, this flora may take over.

Understand that many survive it anyway, but it's a very serious thing.

Someone with medical background please comment.
