RE Kids with colic -

A remedy for stomach distress in adults is carbonated water with bitters.
Have you tried that? I don't know if you could get the baby to drink
carbonated water, but regular water with a little bitters might help.
Or carbonated water without bitters, if he likes it that way instead.

Is it really colic, and not milk-intolerance? The easement of the condition
after eating cereal might indicate that a soy-bean infant formula would
be a possible substitute for milk. I'm sure you've considered these
possibilities, but if not, give 'em a try.

Your plight is scaring the pants off my baby's father to be! Let us know
if you find a solution.

Our baby loves herb teas, and they have no caffeine or tanic
acid. I don't think there is anything objectionable in them for
young babies, though we didn't try it on her till she was a few
months old. If you've never tried herb tea's, by the way, you might
be surprised at how good they are.
