RE Kids with colic - A remedy for stomach distress in adults is carbonated water with bitters. Have you tried that? I don't know if you could get the baby to drink carbonated water, but regular water with a little bitters might help. Or carbonated water without bitters, if he likes it that way instead. Is it really colic, and not milk-intolerance? The easement of the condition after eating cereal might indicate that a soy-bean infant formula would be a possible substitute for milk. I'm sure you've considered these possibilities, but if not, give 'em a try. Your plight is scaring the pants off my baby's father to be! Let us know if you find a solution.

Our baby loves herb teas, and they have no caffeine or tanic acid. I don't think there is anything objectionable in them for young babies, though we didn't try it on her till she was a few months old. If you've never tried herb tea's, by the way, you might be surprised at how good they are. Terry Poot
