From "Consumer Reports", August 1985 (the issue of July 1985 contained no
notices of product recalls relevant to children).

(The following item is not a recall, but a product-safety alert.)

Glenco #3180 Squeak Pacifiers. Nipple and handle may separate from pacifier's
plastic shield, creating choking or suffocation hazard.

Products: Pacifier, sold from July through Dec. 1984, has rigid plastic
shield with two vent holes and one-piece rubber handle; shield is white,
orange, or yellow embossed with "Made in Japan," and handle, which is
bulbous or round, has white plastic squeaker at tip. (Redesigned model,
identified on package as Glenco #3180B, is not subject to safety alert.)

	What to do: Discard pacifier.

Clickclack Model 30051 baby rattles. Small wooden noisemaker inside rattle can
pose choking hazard if end of rattle comes unglued.

Products: 5000 rattles made in Sweden and sold from July 1984 through
Feb. 1985 for about $5. Rattle is made of wood and is 4 1/2 inches
long; hollow body holds noisemaker, and bright red hemispherical knob at
	each end.

What to do: Return rattle to dealer or mail to Brio Scanditoy Corp.,
6531 N. Sidney Pl., Milwaukee [WI] 53209, for refund.

Century 200 child safety restraint. Plastic buckle of crotch strap is hard to
release. If lubricant is used to ease opening, it can degrade plastic and cause
breakage that jams the buckle.

	Models: 295,814 child restraints.

What to do: Have dealer provide replacement strap and buckle if
	required.
