Instead of airing some kind of a problem, I thought I'd share a joy: Without any coaching from me (or anyone else as far as I can tell) my daughter (age 3 1/2) wrote (printed) her name! I was really thrilled! Anne has seemed to develope in fits and starts. It seems as though she goes through several months of initiating a lot of really new things and then goes through an equally long period of a "dormant" stage during which she and I get a chance to adjust to the changes. I feel that a new door has just opened for her (and for me). The teacher in me is quite excited! I just wanted to share this joy with you people who have been quite a support to me in my single-parenthood. Thank you. -- Sarah E.
