I guess I am still missing the ecological issues involved here. My wife and I began using cloth diapers, but found that these shrank, so that, when our child got bigger, they just weren't big enough. We switched to disposables (Kleenex Huggies--I don't mind plugging the product). We have always flushed the "poop" before disposing of the diapers (these have never been thrown out of car windows or on the beach). So what kind of ecological danger can this represent, especially in light of the threats to health posed by industrial and nuclear waste? On a related issue, how am I supposed to dispose of kitty litter? Do I toilet-train my cat? (I know this can *sometimes* be done, but how do the diaper ecologists view this, a related problem?)
