If you use disposable diapers, but flush the poop first thats good.
But with cloth diapers the pee-pee also gets rinsed in the toilet or
in the washing machine and therefore treated, so thats better.
But the REAL problem with disposables is that plastic is not biodegradable.
Our country is being filled with plastic diapers that stay with us for a
LONG LONG time.  For this reason (and others) we use cloth diapers.
We also use paper bags for our trash, paper cartons for milk and OJ, etc.
Disposable plastic products are a real problem and plastic diapers
contribute more than anything else to the amount of plastic being buried
all over the country these days (I think).  Well it's certainly a large
percentage of the total volume.
