[net.kids] Saturday morning cartoon show

speaker@ttidcb.UUCP (Kenneth Speaker) (10/28/85)

For those interested in "quality" saturday morning television for their
children, you should have them watch either of the two Disney animation
programs: The Wuzzles or GummiBears. Not only is the attempt made to
have quality animation, much better than average for television, but in
addition, the Wuzzles stories are written to entertain both the child AND
the parent. The writers wish to return to the quality of the Warner Brothers
classics of the 50's and are coming close.

I second the sentiment for the Wuzzles- I don't think Saturday mornigns have
seen this quality stuff for quite a few years.

In a related vein, there's a good review of "Wonderworks" in this week's
TV Guide, including some very good advice for parents (eg. stop blaming TV for
showing your kids junk- TURN OFF THE SET....and if we *ALL* did that, the
networks would have to listen [maybe]).

Three cheers for Disney!!
