[net.kids] Twins' language

My twin girls developed some words of their own. Some of which I thought
were superior to the "correct" english word:

When all the inlaws came to visit they would say, "Wholebody Here!"

In a similar fashion my two-years-old daughter came up with "twobodies"
which means any two (sometimes more) people. Seems reasonable to me.

Our favorite made-up-but-better-than-the-real word is "flutterby".
We've used that since my siblings and I were very young. I'm
amazed that we still use the made-up words even though we are all
adults now. Of course we only do that when around family. We all
know the real words. :-) Sometimes "aminal" and "wapoo" (for apple)
sneak out when we least expect them.

A friend's child, who is amazingly sensitive to others anyway,
has come up with two words that I find myself using constantly:

Hen'-na-don'-nic (phonetic, obviously): Anything used to `cure'
someone's pain. After my knee operation, she was constantly running
for hennadonnics (toys, flowers, etc.) to lay on my knee. She's
especially gentle with headaches.

Back'-a-do-nee: A place that's unreachable, as in "the kitty's in
the backadony" (e.g., behind a chair). I think of it in somewhat
more philosophical terms....

Cute kid quote - My three-year old cousin talking to my mother after
running away from the ocean spray: "Aunt Maud, wipe away my ocean
tears..." Awwww

I don't think my company *has* an opinion, so the ones in this
                  article are obviously my own.

   {various cute baby-talk phrases}

My daughter came up with "long day ago" to mean a time in the distant past and
"last day" to mean yesterday. I always thought "long day ago" sounded rather
poetic.

My favoritist of favorite words is misled. Note: most of you read it as
mis-led, didn't you? Well, it's not, it's mi-suled (long i). Much more
impact to say, I've been mI-suled, isn't it? Well, *I* think so. And
then there's fa-ka-dee (facade).
