[net.kids] Car Seat

About car seats:

My wife and I are due in February and we want to get a car seat
that will be good for both an infant and a toddler.
The nicest seat we saw was the (new) Graco GT1000. We liked it
because:

1) It looked like it was VERY comfortable. Especially, we liked the
curve in the back, that looked like it would be healthier for a
baby (ie, not a 90 degree angle)
2) The child would have good visibility from it
3) It was very easy to change the slope angle, much easier than
other models.

Does anyone else know anything about this seat, for good or bad?

Consumer's Report magazine ran an article about car safety seats and noted
that the biggest problem was ease of use. If the seat is not designed so
that it is easy for parents to pop their little ones into the seat and get
them fastened quickly, it is often the case that the parents gradually stop
using the seat. "Oh no, not me!", you may say, but that was the disturbing
trend that CR noted. All the seats will protect your child if used properly,
since all the manufacturers must meet Federal safety regulations, but the
ease of use may be the deciding factor in a childs car safety.
We purchased the Century 200 (or 4200) and we love it. Seems that Lauren
does too.
