I like not having my feet feeling confined. When my daughter was younger, she wore shoes for protection and warmth, and when socially or legally required (to church and stores). I did not require her to wear shoes inside. I did not always require her to wear shoes outside. This was many years ago. Today I would require wearing shoes outside more often.
