a long labour, and is healthy and gorgeous. Simone (my wife) and
the baby are doing fine. Thanks all who have inquired over the months.

It's my pleasure to announce the birth of my daughter, Lori Ellen Cushner,
on 1/9/86.

Lori came into the world weighing 6 lbs. 13.5 oz. and was 19 in. long.
She was delivered naturally using Bradley technique, but near the end
my wife requested some help and got 25cc's Darvon IV.

Cute Story:

When she couldn't stand the pain, she told me that she wanted to ask
the doctor for something to help her.  I asked if she was sure that
she couldn't do it for a little while longer and she said she really
needed it.  When the doctor came in, a little while later, I told her
to tell him what she wanted and she said:

"Doctor, can I have a C-Section now?  I want to get rid of the pain!"

Naturally the doctor refused.

Lori is our second child.  Jay is now 16 months old.
