[net.kids] sleeping with bottles

>>What happens when all your son's baby teeth turn BLACK and are then all

>Oh, come on!! There must have been other contributing factors. My

>themselves to sleep every night until age four or so with no tooth
>problems.

The contributing factor is called genetics. I grew up with atrocious
dental habits. I hated toothpaste and would avoid it whenever possible.
Sticky candy was my favorite. It took 30 years for the first cavity to
show up. The genetic dice rolled in my favor (thanks Mom!).

Most kids who go to sleep with a bottle will not loose their teeth. But,
it does happen. I would opt for replacing the comfort of a bottle with the
comfort of a stuffed bear (or cat or rabbit or...). I prefer other forms
of gambling.
