[net.kids] environmental concern about disposables

jcp@osiris.UUCP (Jody Patilla) (01/26/86)

The big problem with disposable diapers and the dump is that
they simply don't ROT ! They nevre go away. Landfills all over the
East Coast are full of dirty disposable diapers just sitting there.
This is also leading to groundwater contamination in some areas, since
so many parents don't bother to rinse the diapers out. Even if regular
diapers are a little more trouble, they might be worth it in the long run.

California is paid a diplomatic visit by giant Betelgeusian reptiles
that want our women but can't find any so scientists invent a
weapon that fails so they kill us.
